Terms of Use
This document is available in English and Hebrew. If there is any difference between them, the English version governs.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of 4X4Ops, a web application for managing the maintenance of vehicle fleets (the "Service"), operated by 4X4Ops.com (reg. no. ), Israel ("4X4Ops", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the company you represent ("Customer", "you").
1. The Service
4X4Ops helps tour and fleet operators record vehicles, engine hours and distance, service intervals and history, repairs, parts inventory, technician calls and team access. The Service is provided as software-as-a-service through a web browser at app.4x4ops.com.
2. Accounts and team members
- You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old and authorized to bind the Customer.
- The person who creates the company account is its owner. The owner and managers may invite team members and assign roles. You are responsible for all activity under your company account and for keeping passwords confidential.
- Tell us promptly at support@4x4ops.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Plans, trial and subscriptions
- Free plan. A limited number of active vehicles, as shown on our pricing page, free of charge.
- Trial. New companies receive a full-feature trial for the period shown on our pricing page. No payment details are required. When the trial ends, the account moves to the free plan unless you subscribe.
- Paid subscription. Priced per vehicle, billed monthly or yearly in advance. The number of vehicles covered can be changed at any time; changes are prorated.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- Price changes. New prices apply to new subscriptions. For an existing subscription we will give at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect at renewal.
4. Payments through Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payment and handles returns. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to your purchase. Prices may be shown and charged in your local currency, and applicable sales taxes (such as VAT) are calculated and collected by Paddle. We do not receive or store your full card details.
5. Cancellation and what happens to your data
- You may cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription (customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and the account then returns to the free plan.
- We do not delete your data because a subscription ended. If you have more active vehicles than the free plan allows, you choose which vehicles stay active; the others remain stored and visible but read-only until you subscribe again.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
6. Your data
- You own the data you enter ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, back up and display it solely to provide and secure the Service.
- You can export your data at any time (Settings → Backup) and delete your company and all its data at any time (Settings → Privacy).
- Where Customer Data includes personal data of your employees, drivers or contacts, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf under our Data Processing Agreement. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to enter such data.
- Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Safety notice – important
4X4Ops is a record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not replace the vehicle manufacturer's maintenance schedule, professional inspection, or your legal obligations (such as licensing, insurance and road-worthiness). Default service intervals in the app are general suggestions and must be checked against the manufacturer's manual and adjusted to your operating conditions. Calculations depend on the data you and your team enter. You remain solely responsible for the safety, maintenance and lawful operation of your vehicles and for decisions made using the Service.
8. Acceptable use
You will not: (a) copy, modify, resell, sublicense or create derivative works of the Service; (b) reverse engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except where the law expressly permits; (c) access other customers' data or attempt to bypass security, permissions or plan limits; (d) use the Service for unlawful purposes or upload malicious code; (e) overload the Service or use automated means to access it without our written consent.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, texts, logos and the name "4X4Ops" are owned by 4X4Ops.com and protected by copyright and other laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you. Suggestions you send us may be used without obligation to you.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, improve or change features. If we materially reduce core functionality of a paid plan, you may cancel and receive a prorated refund for the unused period.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for vehicle damage, accidents or injuries arising from maintenance decisions; and (b) our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Customer Data you entered without a lawful basis or from your breach of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or to comply with law, with notice where reasonably possible. On termination by us without your breach, we will allow you at least 30 days to export your data.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email, and you will be asked to accept the new version. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
